While it may be true that WiMaX is truly revolutionary, the scalability remains a question. I still remember Dellomo telling us about QC boasting of 40 simultaneous calls and unmatched performance over GSM, and how the real life story is vastly different from this claim.

Comcast has already written down Clearwire off its finance books.. it may not be willing to cannibalize its own core product offerings if WiMAX were to take over..

If I remember correctly, Verizon plans to roll out LTE only by late 2010.. I guess u can get the latest Itouch till then, with a camera. ;)

P.S. - Investment in new technologies is a double-edged sword. You either support it strongly or you squash it completely.. Depends on who wants what and gets what.. It's war!
